Hand-tinted Portrait

Brighton, United Kingdom
2012

Model and existing portrait photographs were shot with 35 mm analogue camera. The black and white film was then self-developed. When making enlargement prints on photo paper, the photos were deliberately over exposed. Hand tinted details and colours were added later as part of the experiment.

Watercolour Self-Portrait

Brighton, United Kingdom
2012

Self-portrait photographs were taken using digital camera. The photos were high in contrast to create white space. The photos were then printed onto different kinds of watercolour papers, as part of the experiment. Watercolour paint painted traditionally with brush onto the photographs, diluting the printer ink without distorting the overall face too much.

Memories

Brighton, United Kingdom
2012

A box installation set up made from self-developed black and white photographs, cross-processed film photographs, 3D collage of tree branches, cut-outs, pennies, porcelain head.

The photo series follow the idea of the viewer looking into the box. Therefore, real human face within the space were also included in frame.
